COMP SAFARI - FLAG GUIDANCE NOTES
All drivers, co-drivers, navigators and marshals should read the guidance notes
explaining the use of flags at comp safari events. The guidance notes
can be found on the Scrutineering Page.

RAC CLUB MEMBERS BENEFITS

As a member of S&S, you are entitled to a 50% discount on new membership to the RAC and a 25% discount on renewals - you have to quote a reference number (which you can get by contacting Ann Cooper on cooper.26@btinternet.com) and confirming you are a member of S&S LRC.

COMMITTEE MEETINGS

are held on the first Tuesday of every month (except August)
at The Swan at Whiston, near Penkridge at 8pm.
Members can come along, but please notify the secretary in advance

S&S Entries in the 2013 Dakar Rally, 5th-20th January

Congratulations Geoff & Jon for their amazing result, 11th Overall !

For the second year, Jon Aston will navigate/co-drive, for Australian driver Geoff Olholm in the Coconut Holiday Resort Team. They have a brand new car this year (number 337) a bespoke space framed racer looking like a Totota Hilux Pickup.

Congratulations to Chris and Phil for helping the R2R Team achieve a finish !

Chris and Phil Bayliss are lucky enough to be at the Dakar too, they are mechanics for the well publicised Race2Recovery Team, of disabled servicemen. Hopefully I will get a photo of them both and the cars to put up here soon. Phil is on the LHS in this photo.

Rally Raid UK and S&S'er Mike Beady Jones are regulars at the Dakar, this year they are fielding the all new Desert Warrior 3. This is a stunning looking car, which is already attracting a lot of attention from the race fraternity. Look out for car number 353.
