January 2012  update.

Reminder of FREE ALRC Club stands, EARLY BOOKING DISCOUNT, and free camping,  prize draw.

The 2012 event is hosted by Lincolnshire Land Rover Club and Peak & Dukeries Land Rover Club at Belvoir Castle near Grantham. The site has excellent road links and is only a few miles from the A1 on the A52.

The site has a level well drained camping field. The competition area is in a wooded valley adjacent to the field featuring a variety of terrain from forestry tracks to a disused quarry face.

There will be events throughout the weekend in the arena and in the competition arena adjacent to the caravan field.

 

News since the last bulletin:

6 nights camping Thursday to Tuesday night included.

Early booking discount Entry fees increase by £5 from 1st April 2012.

Entries received before 1st March 2012 will be entered in a draw to receive a refund of the camping fee. For both these offers entry must have been received and payment cleared before the relevant date.

LRO international magazine are media partners for the event and will be attending with their show stand. They plan to enter events and will be fully covering the event.

Bosun Cam to be Official Photograhers, very reasonable prices and projected photo show in beer tent, see website for pricing structure.

Royal Logistics Corp TA will be attending with a military village featuring climbing wall inflatable assault course, military equipment and possibly of rides in vehicles (to be confirmed)

The British Army Motoring Association will be attending and will be hosting a short off road orienteering competition on Tuesday morning. Details to follow on website once finalised.

Live band 'Snatch' confirmed for Saturday night + DJ and Karaoke entertainment on Sun/Mon.

Keg beers and Lager as well as local specialist real ales. No need to buy a glass this year but souvenir glasses will be available.

Charity auction on Saturday evening in aid of race2recovery. Top prize so far is a Moroccan Safari by Trailmasters, other excellent lots have been promised as well.

Off road driving course hosted by the Discovery Owners Club to be 3 to 4 miles taking in the competition area.

On line event clothing store.

For the modellers in the clubs there will be a model show on Saturday afternoon in the beer tent. Bring your Land Rover models and collections to show. Details to follow on website.

Tyro Trial (pre book or enter on weekend subject to availability). TYRO is held over two days Sat/Sun you can enter either day.

Queens Jubilee 'street party' on Tuesday. Bring your own picnic or cook on our bbq. Fun games and races.
