20/10/09      RHF Comp Safari

Comments:  Our first time racing at Red Hall on the 18th, I thought it was a fantastic course, with everthing in - proper off road racing :). Ohh and as always very well organised and run. Lets make it two days next time. -  Richard Caswell MOC

Comments: This was the first event that I have done with yourselves and I would just like to say how much I enjoyed it. The club is friendly, well organised and well run. It was really good that your members made us feel so welcome. I will definately be racing with you again. Many thanks - Ted Leahy (Maroon Defender 90) NORC

28/09/09     Stone Enduro Comp

Comments:  I would like to say thanks for the enduro event - we had a great weekend. I hope we entertained a few pepole by completing three laps in the dark with only a very poor fog light mounted on the roll cage. We finished last of the finishers and 26th overall - one day we might get the job right and finish last but one or even take home some silver ware. thanks again, see you soon - Mark and Adam Woodhouse

Comments:  Just a quick word to say what a good weekends racing we had a Stone. It sure was an endurance event with 15 out of the 41 entrants retiring and 4 or 5 rolls over the weekend - one of those being Simon :-(   -  Ann Cooper

Comments:  Thanks to all involved for another great event  -  Johnathan Wilshaw

Comments:  My God that was quick; I don't think I have ever seen results from any club sent out this quick before. I have to say that although our time keeping is a bit more manual at the moment it was very efficient.

The event ran really well, the finish clock worked and the times were on the board for everybody to have a look at. From a drivers point of view it was as good as it gets.

Thanks to all those involved in getting the timing issue sorted and I hope the good work continues. It makes a big difference to the competitiors and I would like to think that the people visiting our club will be keen to return. Hope Simon gets his motor fixed for Red Hall.

Thanks again for a well run event. With best regards, - Peter Roberts

21/08/09      Red Hall and Medlicott Trial

Comments:  Many thanks for these two great events, relaxed fun mixed with some good banter, oh and an ale festival - lots to learn especially controlling the right foot (catering can of beans is not always needed). Many thanks to all the marshalls and oraganisers at both events.  -  Matt Farmer

17/08/09     RHF NTL CCV & Series 1 Club Event

Comments:  Just got back from Red Hall Farm, NTL and S1 weekend. Brillant, a really good trial, well done Fly! And a nice relaxing time with the S1 lads, talk about proper L/R's, nuts bolts, etc brill.  -  Dave George, Chairman

10/08/09     Hawkstone Park RTV TYRO & BBQ Social

Comments:  Just like to say what a great weekend it was at Hawkstone, although once again it was the same OLD faces (hahaha, don't take that personally folks)that turned up, where were you all? the weather was fantastic, the trials were good and the beer tent was great, hope we can do it again very soon as a good time was had by all.  -  Dawn Tunnicliffe

Comments:  thanks for a great weekend at hawstone park, thanks also to fly, donna, eric, eddy and mark for the setting out, thanks also to all the competitors and others for making it such a great weekend.  -  Chris Tunnicliffe

Comments:  Thanks to Eric, Fly, Big Ed, Mark P and Donna for setting out and marshalling.  Although the turnout was disappointing, everyone had a great time, both in the competitions and socially. The weather was great for a change and the Mid-evil beer tent was real bonus !  Brill weekend all round !  -  Doug Laird

19/07/09    Lymestone Brewery Tour

Comments:  A big thank you to those S&S members who helped make the tour at the Lymestone Brewery a success at the weekend. Charlie surpassed his own expectations by bringing more than a dozen visitors who asked all the right questions and said nice things about the beers and stew.

Well done Charlie and thanks again S&S for your support. See you at the next one...      31st October 2009. Cheers.  -  Brad, Lymestone Brewery

Stone Comp 19/07/09

Comments:  Thanks for the results and thanks to all involved for another great event.  Can we have some decent weather next time please? -  Johnathan Wilshaw

Comments:  Just a quick note to say thank you to everybody who helped and generally asked after us after the crash on Sunday. Your team of marshals performed extremely well and we were turned the right way over and pulled off the track with the minimum of fuss. Having got the car home and looked it is unfortunately a complete write off but performed admirally considering we were doing about 60 when it stopped!! I'm currently trying to strip it to get a new one built. Please pass on our thanks to all involved.  -  Rupert and Jo Astbury

Comments:  How wet was that ! Special thanks to everyone who helped and competed to make a very interesting day. Fine weather compers ? Not S&S !  - Tony Sinclair

15/07/09  Comments:  Well its just my (beep) luck going on holiday this weekend and will miss the comp at Stone.. but to top it off the weekend of my birthday Brad,s puts a brewery tour on so just think of me while sipping a good brew (I,ll be drinking crap larger in some whelsh bar!..) And for (beep's) sake it,s me 40th!!

So have a good Comp and I,m sure anyone going to Brad,s do will have the same.  -   John Walters

S&S Trial Medlicott 12/07/09

Comments:  I would just like to thank Neil and Jill Medlicott for organinsing the "beer bus" to Bishops Castle on the Saturday afternoon of the Medlicott weekend. A great time was had by all - with assurances from the Medlicotts to make sure the S&S calendar fits in with the beer festival each year!

Also thanks to those that turned out for the CCV on the Sunday. Andy Foster and Neil still agreed to set out even though we did not have the minumum entry numbers - but a few extra turned up for a good days trialing.  -  Ann Cooper

Comments:  Thanks for another great weekend, also thanks for the setting out of some 1st class sections, thanks to the marshalls also, those who didn't attended missed out on another great event for trialers, (thanks ann and simon for the coffee, my weekend would not of been the same without it.  -  Dawn Tunnicliffe)

ALRC Comp Championship at Red Hall Farm  28/06/09

26/06/09   Comments:  Thanks Ann for a realy good Talegate, best cover I have ever seen!  -  Paul Gilbert

25/06/09   Comments:  In reply to Sean Heath (17/06/09) not all the comittee have competition motors. if they did and all decided to compete , there would be no events, We all enjoy our motorsport in different ways. After the good events that all enjoyed, just remember the non competitive members in the club that enable the playing to take place!  -  Tony Sinclair

Red Hall Farm Trials 20-21st June 06

Comments:  Had a great week-end at red hall, thanks to maxi, ian and ben for setting out, a good time was had by all, thanks also to the other competitors for making the week-end full of fun and laughter. - Chris Tunnicliffe

Comments:  A quick note about the weekend at Red Hall Farm - well done Max for setting out some excellent RTV sections, with good use of the land. Sundays CCVT was probably the most laughs we have had at a trial in ages, despite the low entry numbers and relatively high number of retirements.
Those who did not attend the weekend missed out.

Lets see more entries at Boundary in a couple of weeks and keep these events running!!  -  Sean Boulton

Comments:  A couple of people deserve our thanks for their single-handed efforts. Thanks to Ann Cooper for putting together the best Talegate I've read in 3 years. Also thanks to Max for taking Friday off work, and making a 80 mile round trip to set out Saturday's RTV on his own, then returning on Saturday to run the trial, all the drivers agreed the sections were really good, ...not bad for a comper !!  Thanks to Ian Hough and Ben Clay for setting out the CCV at very short notice.    Come on folks, these people are knocking themselves out to put on events for the members, please get behind them and turn out to the events !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  -  Doug Laird

Comments:  NICE ONE MAXI FOR SETTING OUT AND MAKING THE EVENT GO AHEAD. -  Sean Heath

May Day 2009 - Feedback

On behalf of all of us from Somerset and Wilts who attended your May Day trials, I'd just like to thank you and your club for a brilliant weekend. Many thanks.
- Phil Hillman, CCV Comp Sec. SWLRC

Many thanks to everyone involved, for the CCV and COMP SAFARI events at Mayday. Both days were throughly enjoyed.
- Kevin, Julie Wilshaw and family.

Thanks for a great weekend of sport and entertainment. Some say, I am the entertainment..... It was well worth spending the extra night under canvas so I could be at the S&S May Day Disco. A lot of hard work and planning had been put into making it a great event. My thanks again to everyone involved.
- Bill Hewitson

We all really enjoyed a great weekend; Red Hall Farm is an excellent venue for the trials. I would be grateful if you could pass on our thanks to all involved in organising the event and look forward to attending again in future years. Many thanks.
- Stuart & Carol Guy (NW)

Congratulations on the event your Club hosted yesterday, it was fresh with a good mix of driving terrain, but without being overly hard on the cars.
- Roy Hart (MOC)

We really enjoyed the weekend - see you at the Nationals.
- Mel & Wayne Armitage (P&D)

Please will you pass on mine and Andrews thanks for organising and marshalling.  Good ground with great potential.
- Bob Metcalfe

Thank you, Alex and I had a great time. Please thank everyone for the hard work needed to put on the event. How did Dave Naylor manage to get that score, it was a fantastic drive.
